Paul earned the rank of Nidan under Hiro Ida in Katsurra, Japan in the Summer of 2025. He is currently trained directly under Iida Sensei and Gacita Sensei Muden Juku in New Jersey. 

Hiroo Iida is the longest tenured student under the late Hodokai. He is still transmitting Aiki. 

Paul currently holds the rank of Nidan in Daitaryu Aiki Jujutsu Muden Juku. He has been with Muden Juku since 2019. 

His martial arts journey started in 1989 in Diatoryu Aiki Jujutsu Goshin Kai Aikido (AAA), Shotuken Karate, Judo, Tae kwon Do and fork-style wrestling.
